Foxwood Furniture are on a mission to “furnish the world with goodness” providing furniture for trade customers with an emphasis on good manufacturing to ensure the people and the planet around us are looked after.
Foxwood Furniture Co. is on a journey to make a real difference. While we’re not perfect, we believe in doing the right thing—for both people and the planet. That’s why we’re exploring ways to repurpose our waste fabric scraps and cardboard, whether by supporting those in need or finding innovative ways to reuse materials within our own factory. Small changes can have a big impact, and we’re committed to improving every step of the way.
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are a group of organic chemicals that readily evaporate at room temperature and are released as gases during the foam production process, there is evidence to show that these chemicals can cause both short-term and long-term health issues. By focusing on reducing VOC materials, our aim is to help create healthier indoor spaces by reducing harmful emissions from traditional foams.
While we know we aren’t perfect, we believe in doing the right thing, for both people and the planet. We use FSC® (FSC-C205322) certified timber and other controlled materials where applicable, and we incorporate recycled content where possible including fibre fillings made from recycled plastic bottles. Our furniture is made to order, built to last, and designed with removable and replaceable components to support long-term use and reduce waste. We’re also exploring ways to repurpose our waste materials within our own factory.
Giving back is a key part of Foxwood Furniture Co.’s story, and we are beginning to look for ways to support our local community.
Lots of small changes can have a big impact, and we’re committed to improving day by day.
In the UK, 672,000 tonnes of furniture go to landfill each year—the equivalent of 4.2 million sofas. At Foxwood Furniture, we’re helping tackle this by designing durable, repairable furniture with responsibly and locally sourced materials, reducing waste and extending product lifespans. Our contract fillings start off with a firmer sit, and soften gradually with use. Choose from our Standard foam interior, designed for low-traffic areas, or our Endura foam for high traffic areas. Both options are robust enough to ensure that your customers’ venues look better for longer.
Our domestic fillings, suited for the BTR market, are developed with comfort and longevity in mind. Providing you with a soft sit that you can sink into, whilst being durable enough to withstand the demands of home usage.
Traditional foam is petroleum-based and does not biodegrade easily, meaning it uses finite resources at the start of its life, and finite space in landfill for hundreds of years at the end of it, all while leaching chemicals and microplastics into soil and water. At Foxwood Furniture Co., we’re exploring more sustainable alternatives like low VOC foam and foam-free cushioning, to reduce waste, reliance on petroleum based materials, and extend our products’ lifecycle’s.
At Foxwood Furniture, our frames are built to last. Crafted with the same care and precision as our upholstery. Where applicable, we use FSC®-certified timber and other controlled materials, supporting responsible sourcing and long-term durability.
We choose FSC®-certified timber to support responsible forestry, biodiversity conservation, and ethical supply chains. FSC certification ensures that materials come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social, and economic benefits. By choosing FSC-certified timber, we’re supporting a more sustainable future and so are you.
Our in-house fabric range has been carefully curated with sustainability in mind, each fabric contains a at least 50% recycled or natural content. We are continuously working to increase this percentage and source the most conscious textiles on the market, while ensuring durability and meeting all flammability standards.
If you can’t find a fabric to suit your project in our standard range, we’re happy for you to choose your own material. When selecting your own fabrics, we give you the option to purchase the fabric yourself, and send it to our factory for use on your upholstery. Please be aware that not all fabrics work on all furniture, so, it’s always best to check with our team if you’re unsure on the best fit.
